For example, 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours is comparable to 1 year of undergraduate education. Four years of progressive study or semester hours meets the degree requirements. Additional credit cannot be given for duplicate course work. An academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 academic year of full-time study. This determination is made based on normal course loads for a full year of study in the graduate program.

If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended.

FedEx Purple Runway.

I worked at several airlines big and small, flying everything from a Cessna to an Embraer , and while I liked working with passengers, the instability meant several moves. One of those moves brought us to Memphis, where I got my first real look at FedEx and saw how strong they support the community.

It was clear how everyone, from the handlers to the executives, work side by side in their local areas and I knew I wanted to be a part of that kind of teamwork.

I started at Mountain Air Cargo and discovered the stability that cargo provides and saw the FedEx operation firsthand. I was fortunate to fly with some of the best pilots and some great mentors along the way.

When the Purple Runway program was announced, I took my chance and signed up. Everyone involved could not hide their passion for FedEx, this program, and the desire to make it a success. The path was not easy, but I feel like I had a head start going into class.

While no two pilots take the same route to get to where they want to be, this program provides the opportunity to get lined up for a landing at FedEx. During my senior year of high school, I was struggling to figure out what I wanted to do when I grew up. I had the opportunity to go on a flight with my neighbor, who was a retired airline pilot.

John had known I was not interested in the medical field like the rest of my family. I spent over four and a half years at Mountain Air Cargo.

During my time I have not only improved my piloting skills but have met and worked with a ton of great people. It has always been my dream to work for FedEx and I was amazed there was a pathway to achieve my goal. I am extremely excited to be one of the first to complete the program.

It is an amazing opportunity. The welcoming response throughout FedEx has been exciting to see firsthand. My advice for future Purple Runway pilots is to stick with it. If FedEx is your dream, keep up the hard work, the payoff is well worth the effort. The program is limited to Feeder pilots who have not previously tested or interviewed with FedEx for a pilot job.

At least 36 months of active service and a minimum of hours as PIC for multi-engine turbo prop aircraft. FedEx may impose reasonable limits on the number of participants enrolled in the program and the number hired as trunk pilots in any given calendar year. Our program has produced successful candidates in as little as three years and four days exactly to as long as five years.

Your path and timeline depends on your flight time accumulation, and other opportunities at the Feeders. At this time, only an associate's degree is required to join the Purple Runway. This degree, does NOT need to be in an aviation discipline. In short, our Feeders are independent regional airlines operating on behalf of FedEx Express.

No, successful completion of the Program positions the participant for preferential consideration during the process of selection and evaluation for a position as a FedEx mainline First Officer. Currently, aside from the associated aviation collegiate scholarship components of the program , Mountain Air Cargo, IFL Group, and Empire Airlines are the only Feeder operators participating in the program.

Your opportunity for an aviation career at FedEx just got better. The FedEx Feeder Network. It is hard to describe, but I loved flying instantly. I knew it was a perfect fit for me.
